Delete your account

Last updated September 22, 2026

You can delete your GreekCore account yourself at any time. Deletion cannot be undone.

Delete from the mobile app

Sign in, open the Search menu, choose Profile → Delete account, and follow the confirmation prompt. There is no “Data & privacy” step in the mobile app. If you have no active chapter, choose Delete account directly on the signed-in landing screen.

Delete from the web

Sign in to the current v2 workspace at app.greekcore-v2.com, open your profile, choose Data & privacy, and select Delete account. You will be asked to confirm your account email. The machine-readable account export is currently available on this web screen only, not in the mobile app, so download it first if you want a copy.

If you are the only active executive officer for a chapter, GreekCore refuses deletion until another member is promoted. This avoids leaving the chapter without an administrator.

Deleted from GreekCore

GreekCore deactivates all memberships and deletes local profile and contact fields, preferences, notification settings, devices and raw push tokens, emergency contacts, identifiable merchandise design-poll votes, marketplace application data, and other user-owned records that do not need to remain in a shared or regulated record. It then requests deletion of the Clerk sign-in identity.

Anonymized or retained

Some chapter records must remain accurate or remain part of other members’ shared history. Depending on what you used, this can include dues and payment ledgers, accounting and audit entries, project/task/announcement comments, chat messages, album photos and videos and their captions, vault files, and moderation evidence. GreekCore removes the user reference where the data model permits it. If a local user row must remain because another record references it, its name, email, phone, photo, and other profile fields are scrubbed and the row is marked anonymized.

Signed contracts retain their signer identity snapshot, and paid merchandise orders and invoices retain transaction and shipping information required as business records; these records can still identify you. Election ballots were anonymous when cast and cannot be associated with an account for deletion. Merchandise design-poll votes are identifiable and are deleted. Shared content can remain because removing it could alter chapter records or other members’ conversations. Safety block/report relationships can remain against an anonymized identifier where required to preserve enforcement or evidence.

Clerk, Stream, and notifications

After local teardown, GreekCore requests deletion of your Clerk authentication identity. If that request fails, the local account remains scrubbed and tombstoned so signing in cannot restore it; the provider deletion must be retried or investigated. Stream chat messages can remain in conversations, but GreekCore asks Stream to rename the account to “Deleted user” and remove its profile image rather than erase other members’ message history. Device registrations and raw push tokens are removed from GreekCore locally. Knock, Stream, Clerk, Expo, email/SMS, and other providers can retain delivery, security, or content records under their own legal and operational schedules; provider cleanup is not instantaneous.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@greekcore.com with the subject “Account deletion request”, preferably from the email on the account. We will verify the request before processing it.
